Description

This training uses a combination of didactic presentation and interactive case studies and focuses on problem gambling and suicide prevention concepts and terminology, the similarities and differences between problem gambling and suicide prevention, how to assess if an individual has a problem gambling disorder or is at risk for suicide, and questions and strategies to ask to get the individual the support they need.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the warning signs and risk and protective factors for problem gambling and suicide
  • Describe the intersection of problem gambling and suicide
  • Identify resources and tools to support individuals at risk for problem gambling and suicide

 

This training has been approved to provide CPS, CAC, CADC, CADC II, and CHW CEU’s.
